North to Auckland...Closing Our New Zealand Chapter

So we leave Queenstown and start our trek North to Auckland. Our first stop after Queenstown is again the Waipara wine region (picture below) to visit and enjoy some more fun time with Felicity and Peter Parish at their beautiful Dunnolly Villa and Cottage (picture). We also spent some interesting time with a few investment Directors and Winemaker of Torlesse Winery who are making delicious Riesling and Pinot Noirs.
We are in Waipara long enough to make a day trip back to Christchurch where we enjoy a few hours at the International Antarctica Center - snow storms (picture), penguins, rocks, and numerous other Antarctic information and artifacts included.
We continue our travel along the coast (very similar to California and Oregon) to the famous Marlborough wine region - home of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. More acres of vineyards and rolling hills than you can every imagine. During our stay in Blenheim we ventured around, enjoying lunch at the Herzog Winery and tastings at a number of other terrific wineries who also make delicious Pinot Noir. Needless to say, we were in heaven.
Now we arrive back in Auckland for an early flight to Australia and a definite sense we will be back in New Zealand again very soon.

Thank you for posting your travel adventures so we can share in the experience. It makes me want to leave Napa & travel. Missing you both but glad that you are well.
