Lesuire morning hanging in downtown in El Calafate (picture right) until our bus departed for Puerto Natales at 4 pm. Weather changed to rain then light snow during the 5+ hours ride across the border to Chile (picture left) .
After arriving at an obscure corner in Puerto Natales at 10 pm, we were shocked to learn the hotel we booked was burned to the ground 2 weeks ago. After grabbing a taxi and begging the driver with lots of hand gestures and a spanish dictionary to help us find another available hotel, he took pity on us and was able to secure at least 2 night accommodations at the clean, nearby Hotel Lady Florence Dixie.
Today, we make plans for tomorrow's overnight horseback riding and rafting into mountains at Torres del Paine National Park.
